How to rent a bike: price, deposit and size by height
Renting a bike takes three steps: enter your height in the catalogue and you see only the bikes that fit, choose your dates, and pay the rental online. The deposit is not paid in advance: it is taken in cash when you collect the bike and given back when you return it in good order.
In this guide we have put together everything first-time renters usually ask: how the size is chosen, what different durations cost, what the deposit is, where and when to collect the bike, and what is worth knowing before you book.
The short answer: what it costs
The daily price depends on the bike, and a longer rental gets its discount automatically. Here is an example at 20 € a day:

For rental we have bikes of various types, and daily prices start at about 18 €. You do not have to ask for the discount and there is no code: the system applies the larger of the two by itself, either the duration discount or the weekend one.
1. The size is chosen by height
Every rental bike has a height range it suits. Enter your height in the catalogue and the bikes that do not fit simply disappear, so it is hard to get it wrong. Our whole fleet covers 127–200 cm and for any one height there are usually three to five bikes that fit.
This matters more than it looks. A bike that is too big is unsafe, and one that is too small starts to tire your back and knees after a couple of hours. 2. What you can rent

If you are not sure what you want, take a gravel bike. It rolls on tarmac almost as well as a road bike, and it does not stop when the road turns to gravel. You can see which types of bike we have at the moment in the catalogue.
3. How the price is worked out
The price is counted in days, not hours. The discount tiers are the same for every bike:
- 1–6 days: the full daily price;
- 7–13 days: 20 % off;
- 14–29 days: 35 % off;
- from 30 days: 45 % off.
There is also a separate weekend discount of 10 %, when the rental covers Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If two discounts could apply at once, you get the larger one, not both. In short: a weekend is cheaper than three separate days, and a week is cheaper than a weekend.
Each bike’s card in the catalogue shows two prices: the daily price, and the lowest price per day if you rent for a long time. The rental itself is paid online when you book.
4. The deposit: how much and when
The deposit is 10% of the value of the bike and it is the same for everyone, without exception. In practice that is 90–320 €, depending on which bike you choose:

The main thing to know: the deposit is never charged online. It is taken in cash when you collect the bike and given back when you return it in good order. It is not an extra charge but a security deposit, so count it separately from the rental price when you plan your spending.
5. Where and when to collect
Bikes are collected and returned at our place in Vilnius, Daugėliškio g. 32A-133, on weekdays 10:00–19:00. When you book, choose dates so that both the collection and the return fall within opening hours.
It is worth going over the bike with us when you collect it: we check the brakes, the gears and the tyre pressure, and set the saddle height for you. It takes a few minutes and saves unpleasant surprises on the road.
6. Worth knowing before you book
- The shortest rental is one day, the longest is 180 days.
- One day is left between two rentals to prepare the bike. That is why some dates in the calendar can be unavailable even when the previous rental has already ended.
- Each bike is a single unit. If you want two of the same, there usually will not be: the fleet is made of different bikes in different sizes.
- Want to extend the rental? Write or call and we will arrange it, as long as the bike is still free on those dates.
- A booking is confirmed once it is paid. An unpaid booking is released after a while, and the bike becomes available to others again.
And one small thing for the autumn: at the end of September it is dark before 19:00, and by mid-October at about 18:20. If you plan to ride back in the evening, sort out lights, because the road rules require them after dark.

Why is a date unavailable in the calendar when the bike is free?
One day is left between two rentals to prepare and check the bike. That is why the day immediately after the previous rental ends is not yet available for booking.
