Technologies
3C MAXXTERRA
Maxxis 3C MaxxTerra is a three layer compound used across the Maxxis mountain bike range. It grips better than 3C MaxxSpeed, and wears more slowly and rolls faster than 3C MaxxGrip, which makes it ideal on trails in a range of conditions.

EXO+ puncture protection
EXO+ is the Maxxis puncture protection that suits easier trails and lighter e-bikes. It is built from a durable 60 TPI casing, the well known EXO protection layer and a small rubber insert around the bead. The sturdy casing and the EXO material guard the tyre against rocks and roots, while the rubber insert guards against punctures from sharp objects and makes rim damage less likely.

TUBELESS READY
Tubeless tyres bring the rider several advantages: you can run lower pressures, which improves grip, and rolling resistance is lower than with a tube. And if the tyre is punctured, pressure drops far more slowly, since there is no tube. Tubeless tyres are marked TR on the sidewall.

WIDE TRAIL (WT)
The Wide Trail (WT) construction gets the tread layout and profile right on today’s wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed around older, narrower rims, and the profile can distort, which costs performance. WT tyres are optimised for a 35 mm internal rim width, though they have proved to suit rims of 30 to 35 mm.
Maxxis Wide Trail XC tyres are optimised for rims with a 30 mm internal width, though they work well on rims down to 25 mm. Maxxis does not recommend rims wider than 30 mm or narrower than 25 mm.
