HYPR rubber compound
HYPR is a full silica compound, and it performs better than anything before it. Against the previous road racing compound, HYPR lowers rolling resistance by 16% and improves wet grip by 23%. It does that while keeping durability on a par with earlier Maxxis compounds.

Tubeless tyres bring the rider several advantages: you can run lower pressures, which improves grip, and rolling resistance is lower than with a tube. And if the tyre is punctured, pressure drops far more slowly, since there is no tube. Tubeless tyres are marked TR on the sidewall.
