The Smiley 3.0 goes along on a child’s first attempts at riding, on a balance bike, a trike or their first proper bicycle. A close fit and a visor-like front edge add protection for the head. The fit system sets the helmet to the head easily, both in width and in height at the back, and it leaves room for tied hair or a bun. Thick chin padding makes it more comfortable still.
Technologies:
• It suits many hairstyles: the opening in the height adjustment leaves room for tied hair, a bun or braids.
• A reflective sticker for better visibility in the dark.
• An insect mesh keeps flies and other insects off the head without disturbing the ventilation.
• A rear light, optional: a light at the back of the helmet for better visibility on the road, available as an accessory and not included.
• The Zoom™ Spin fit system: a dial at the back that sets the helmet to the size of your head.
• The Flap Divider™: a strap divider that sets the straps under the ears to suit you, with a clip that holds the position.
• Soft pads held by Velcro that improve the fit on a smaller head too. They come out to be washed, or replaced when needed.
• A push-in buckle: for safe, practical use, the straps have the classic three-part chin fastening.
• In-mould: the inner shock absorbing material, expanded polystyrene (EPS), is moulded directly into the outer polycarbonate (PC) shell. The result is a strong, durable helmet.
